evaluation of foreign credentials [#permalink] New post 26 Mar 2011, 15:46
Hello, everyone! :-D
Did anybody have their credentials evaluated? I wonder what agencies will you suggest? How long does this process take? I know the agencies write on their web-sites that it takes up to 3 weeks. Is it really so?
All advices are much appreciated!

I mean the evaluation of my undergraduate transcript. One of the business schools that I apply to requires international students to submit the evaluation of the earned undergraduate degree.

Ow yeah, Colleges usually do it. They don't want to spend money or time investigating if your degree in authentic or not. You should call them and ask which institution they recommend. They know... They have to know!

Unfortunately, they do not know. On the college's web-site they state a working relationship with one of the evaluation agencies, but in reality they are not in contact with it. That's why I asked members of gmatclub if they had any experience with evaluation agencies.

Yeah, in this case try to find one that seems good in NY. Call to some reputable school and ask them which they suggest to you.

You can use ECE or WES

http://www.ece.org/

http://www.wes.org/

Most schools accept evaluations from these agencies.
I did it from ECE and ECE asked me for copies of my undergrad score cards/marksheets to be sent to them. It generally takes 4 weeks but you do have services that will get you the evaluation done in 1 week or so(obviously , you pay a high price here).
