Evaluation of the profile - where do I stand? [#permalink] New post 25 Jan 2006, 14:37
Greetings! I just appeared for gmat and obtained a mediocre score of 690. I am a bit concerned whether I should retake the GMAT again and would appreciate if you could provide some feedback and suggestions. I will be applying in Fall 2006 for session starting Fall 2007.

I am including my profile to provide some background:

- Lived in Singapore for approx 10 years.
- Participated in a 6 months internship in the United Kingdom with British Gas.

What do you think my chances are? Do you think I need to retake my GMAT for the low GMAT/GPA? I should be able to get a very strong recommendations from my managers/directors at work. Please assist.

That is just under the mean score for those schools. You have plenty of time before next year's app season, so if your score bothers you and you think you can improve, there's no real down side to giving it other try.

You can definitely get into those schools with a 690 -- people do it every year. Still, as you know, a higher score would probably improve your chances a little bit.

Thanks truthringer.
A follow up question.

GMAT 690 with GPA 3.2... should that be okay? Or do you suggest I retake?

I was thinking of talking some analytical and acountancy classes this year to beef up the application.
