even odd strategy

Hello All,

While I was working on a set of integer problem, I can across a pattern of "if x is even or odd" problems. Following is the format:
x=55^3 + 35 - 57 + 43^4 -51
x=32 - 44 - 42 + 40^4 -43
x=21 + 38 -15 + 25^3

So I want to know if there is a strategy to handle these kind of problems in limited time.

Almost zero calculation/arithmetic for such questions.

Even and odd numbers

e.g.
x=55^3 + 35 - 57 + 43^4 -51
x=o*o*o+o-o+o*o*o*o-o=o+o-o+o-o=o
ODD.
