(A) No French painters whose works in Hoular are Vorticists.
(B) All Vorticists use acrylic monochromes in their works.(only Vorticists not French ones use A.M but Voltacists could consider to use or not)
(C) Some French painters do not use acrylic monochromes in their works. then some French painters use A.M
(D) No French painters use acrylic monochromes in their works. yes because only Vorticists use AM.
(E) All French painters who use acrylics use acrylic monochromes in their works

Between A and D.
I go with D.

A is too strong to say. There might be painters who are French+Vorticists who do not use monochromes. The stem only says that only Vorticists use monochromes, it does not say tha ALL Vorticists use monochromes. So A is out.

D should be the answer.

Premise 1 - Every painting in the Hoular Gallery is by a French painter.
Premise 2 - No painting in the Hoular Gallery is by a Vorticist.
Premise 3 - Only Vorticists use acrylic monochromes in their works.

Premise 2 and 3 seem to suggest that no painting in Hoular Gallery is made of acrylic monochromes. So some French painters do not use acrylic monochromes in their works as all the paintings in Hoular Gallery are by a French painter.

Moreover A,B,D, and E all use extreme words - All and No.

Old post but here's my explaination if anyone is interested. :)
A ) Eliminate. Reason: It has been given that "Every painting hanging in the Hoular Gallery is by a French painter" . It does not mean that painting from ALL french painters are inside Hoular Gallery. Just few of them are from French Painters. Hence, there is a possibility that some French Painters are Vorticists whose painting are not in Hoular Gallery.

B) Eliminate. Reason: The word "ALL " is a red flag here.. Stimulus says "Only Vorticists use acrylic monochromes in their works". It does not mean that ALL V use AM in their works.

C) Correct: Reason: Since from A) we can deduce that some FP are indeed V then , we can SURELY say that some FP are not V( whose paintings are in HG) and since they are not V, they cannot use AM in their works.

D) Eliminate: Reason: Again from A) we found that some FP can be V and V can use AM in their works. Hence, SOME Fp can use AM in their works.

E) Eliminate: Reason: This cannot be true. Some FP do not use AM . Irrelevant
