A)Incorrect idiom. Not only X, But also Y. Here the X and Y need to be parallel. In A, the "which" occuring right after "not only" has to be parallel to "but also could", but since it is not, hence it is incorrect.

B) Examining bog plants in the Kingdom of Lesotho, alarming evidence of erosion has been discovered by British and African researchers. Here the RED portion is a modifier which MUST modify the noun coming right after the modifier. "Who is examining bog plants in the kingdom of Lesotho"--ALARMING EVIDENCE. Obviously not. Hence Incorrect.

C)Correct

D) Same issue that was in A.

E) Same modifier issue. What does "it" refers to here?

+1 C.

Do mention the source first.

I also opt for C....
Parallelism error in all other A,and D....
Modifier error in B,and E
