Starman,

The only reason to consider a part-time program is if you want to hedge your odds a bit if none of your E-MBA schools come through for you. But your profile screams "executive MBA" material. A 700 score should be fine. If you really to wow them, aim for a 740 or above, but schools generally are comfortable if both the verbal and quant scores are over the 80th percentile. I think you will be competitive at all these schools given your title, responsibility level, and extensive management of large teams. I wouldn't dream of discouraging you from applying to any of them. You didn't mention community leadership, which could also be an significant piece in your profile if it's strong. Fire when ready.

Good luck,

Hi,
Thanks for the assessment. I am starting with Chicago and Ann Arbor applications since they dont need a GMAT. My application will be processed in their last rounds, i hope that will not be a issue

On community and extra-curricular front,
Community
- Organised cultural events for our community for about 7 years till 2001. Then I moved out.
- Have helped organise office cultural events ( not sure if that counts)
- Been a member of Child Relief and You, group that takes care of children needing help. I have supported them with donations. Regular participant of social drives run within the company

Extra-curricular
- Love cooking, learning from cooking shows, trying out food from various cultures
- Love watching and playing sports. Big fan of NFL, NBA and cricket. The playing part has gone down in the last two years.
- Travelling and seeing places. Understanding history, cultural themes in various parts of world etc

Starman,

The community activities you mentioned were a bit old in one case and a bit too small-impact in the other. So this may be an issue in your application, though I generally believe executive programs cut applicants more slack when it comes to community/volunteer leadership.

Good luck,
