wrong idiom. (correct is distinguish from)
(B) far less expert in distinguishing good paintings from poor ones, authentic art from

expert is countable. much is incorrect and it is wordy too
(D) far less expert in distinguishing good paintings and poor ones, authentic art and
wrong idiom. (correct is distinguish from)

between can not come with more than two things. Here among should be used.

Just for the record, distinguish x from y, and distinguish between x and y both are correct idiom.
