appeared in GMAT exams 3 times and failed badly. I didn’t even scored 400 in these three attempts.

I studied

I really want to get 550 in my GMAT. Please give me your suggestion. My Math part is fine but verbal part is horrible. I studied about three weeks for my GMAT and really want to start my MBA in fall 2008. I feel like to commit suicide cause i bombed my gmat 3 times.

Honestly, your score somwhat make me alittle worry.

I think you should recover the basic. Go through OG11 one more time and keep an error log.

So, just the basic and keep error log.

3 weeks is not realistic study period. realistically speaking, there's no way you can attend biz school in 08 at this rate.

Not getting above a 400 raises some serious red flags. You really need to study your basics. As others have said 3 weeks is not nearly enough.

Simply taking the exam several times is not going to really raise your score much either. You need to do well on practice questions and exams b/f you do the real thing.

No reason to rush man. Just calm down and take the test when your ready.

Sorry to hear that, don't worry, take it easy, relax and start over again.
As suggested by Nihit, get a tutor and practice, you can do it.

I am sorry to hear about your predicament. Be brave and get yourself up and running again. The guys and gals in this Forum are great. Plenty of encouragement and advice from them. Also, the questions and answers will help you a lot.

Let's be realistic about the timing. 3 weeks won't do. In fact, 3 months are pretty stretched unless you have strong basics and know the GMAT techniques. Don't ditch your MBA hope; but do consider a more realistic plan. You will need about 6 months to get ready.

As for the materials, OG is a must. I relied on Manhattan GMAT materials for both Quant and Verbal. Their SC is highly recommended. For CR, I would recommend Powerscore LSAT Logical Reasoning. As for RC, there is no particular book. If you have a good command of CR, RC should not be an issue.

Search for 1000SC, PS, RC, CR questions in this forum and spend 2-3 hours per day to study and practice. Then reset GMATprep and attempt a few times.

Good luck!

Even though I haven't taken the GMAT yet and still a freshman in college. I regret what I didn't do for my SAT. Here is my suggestion.

-DO NOT HIRE A TUTOR <--- Biggest waste of my money ever for SAT. :/
-Get yourself a notebook <-- =] Those 5 subjects one
-Use one book and finish it! Then start the next one!
-DO NOT TIME yourself when you are doing the questions. This is just practice and understanding the questions and how to get the answers.
-Commit 2 hours to the book <-- I don't know what your schedule is like.
-Look over the answers you got RIGHT and WRONG. <-- Write how you got the answer right. The other how you got the answer wrong. Write your strategy how you are not going to let that bully question trick you again.
-Review again, until you memorized what you did, learn, and found the secrets to doing better.
- =] Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back! And blast some music for completing 2 hours!
-REPEAT for other books.

-Find another book with full of GMAT Questions. This time TIME YOURSELF. =]
-Repeat yourself again. What you did right and what you did wrong, look over your strategies etc etc etc
-Take the REAL GMAT test

I hope this helps! :] Cuz I'm going to be doing the same thing in the summer! Fun fun fun!

Goodluck! Don't give up! You did not fail yet! You just haven't find a way that works best for you yet!
