financePHD2007 - Congrats on the offer. I assume it is for Carlson SOM.

Anyway, your numbers seems pretty good. Hope that you will hear from more soon.

I'm applying to Purdue (Phd Finance), but I suppose their admission process will take place a few weeks after that of other universities (Purdue's deadline was February 15).

I guess so,

Anyway, Congrats for the Carlson Robbie,

Their deadline is Dec 31, Am I right? When did you get the interview invite from them?

Most of my target school’s deadlines are January 31, Feb 15 and even March 1. I wonder when should I start expecting to get a call?

Gosh, I wish I can hybernate for a month like a bear .... and just wake up when the decision has been made.

Sorry to hear about that. Yesterday I received an e-mail from MIT (I've applied in Finance), that simply asked applicants not to send enquiries about their apps status.

Best wishes with other apps!

Thanks, Tkkoh and Robbie1981. Wish you guys the best as well. I will feel pretty much better if I know that someone in this thread can get into Sloan PhD.

yaeh... that's what i got as well.... given the warm greetings i got from wharton and some nice emails from kellogg i got in the beginning of the app process (i had problems with one of my recommenders... and they agreed to get the recommendation by fax)....given all that, i'm not sure i want MIT anymore.... hate it when they say "don't dare to call us to get information" - it doesn't reflect good things... but it is probably (or hopefully) just the admins during the app season.

we'll wait and see...

Congrats. Robbie, and Good luck.

Meanwhile, has anyone heard from Berkeley? Last year, Berkeley was one of the first schools that released their admission quite early. However, it has been so quiet this year. Any interview invitation from them?

Nothing from Berkeley... from them I've just received a standard e-mail before Christmas, in which they said my app had been correctly received and asked not to send questions about its status.
