I always wondered about the usefullness of such events. Does anyone have an opinion on what advantages, if any, the Open House events can provide for potential candidates?
I definitely understand the value of campus and class visits but Open Houses?

I don't really know what the value is, although I can tell you that I attended an info session in San Francisco, and when I went in for my interview 4-5 months later, the Adcom I interviewed with remembered me from the event. Darden is definitely a place that welcomes personal contact.

That would be sweeeeeet! I will definitely visit Darden; i just don't know when yet. If you could show me around, i would greatly appreciate it!
