Hi Alex,

I am planning to apply for MBA this year. My question is how do adcoms view family business experience? I have workd in a multinational bank for 4+ years and decided to join my family business this January 2010. Do you think there is any disavantage to this when compared to others who work for someone else?

It's not a disadvantage or advantage - it's just experience, and how you convey that experience in terms of what you learned from it. As you know, working in a family business has its own set of benefits/perks and challenges - you won't be the first applicant that they've seen with experience working for family.
