I am attaching the feedback I got from Kaplan experts regarding my scoring. I was getting this message that "Not sufficient memory in pool could not calculate true scores".
I'd like to know is anyone else encountered this problem and their feedback.
Go thru my initial mail to Kaplan. This is regarding the Kaplan GMAT 2005 CD.
I'd like to see some feedbacks.
This is what the Kaplan expert has to say:-
Hello Anirban,
Thank you for your email. The message you report is given when a
student has exhausted the question pool at a particular difficulty
level. When this happens, easier questions will be substituted, and
the resulting score will not accurately reflect the student's
performance. I regret that it is not possible for us to provide you
with a more accurate score for tests taken under these circumstances.
For the best predictor of your official score, we recommend that you
take the GMAT's own PowerPrep tests. The GMAC hosts the PowerPrep CATs
on its website at
https://www.mba.com/mba/TaketheGMAT/Tool ... ftware.htm. They
are also available on the CD-ROM sent to you when you register for the
GMAT.

Stephanie

Question or Comment: I purchased the Kaplan GMAT 2005 with CD. I took
the 4 Tests from the CD. Somehow the scores that I got were not
matching
with the GMAT score guidelines.
I'd like to point out that Before I started the Test I was getting this
message "Do not have enough memory in the pool to give an accurate
score". I'd like to know my true scores for the tests. I'd get a better
idea then. If this scores are correct what algorithm was used? Since my
friend had an exact same score as I had on my Kaplan Test 3 with
identical scaled scores and he got 650 while I had 600.
Here are my scores:
Kaplan Test 1: Math (Correct 27, Wrong 10)-Scaled Score 44; Verbal
(Correct 25, Wrong 16)-Scaled Score 32- Net 620
Kaplan Test 2: Math (Correct 30, Wrong 7)-Scaled Score 41; Verbal
(Correct 23, Wrong 18)-Scaled Score 29- Net 570
Kaplan Test 3: Math (Correct 34, Wrong 3)-Scaled Score 50; Verbal
(Correct 23, Wrong 17)-Scaled Score 30- Net 600
Kaplan Test 4: Math (Correct 33, Wrong 4)-Scaled Score 50; Verbal
(Correct 22, Wrong 19)-Scaled Score 29- Net 590
I'd like an early response.
Thanks,
Anirban Mukherjee
