Hi everyone,
Am applying for some programmes in 2017, but am worried as I haven't seen many Filipinos at the programmes I'm considering (or at the universities, even). Would like to ask for your thoughts on my current profile for 2017 admission into MIT (MFin), LSE (MS Fin), Columbia (MS Fin Econ), and HEC (MS Mang & Fin Econ).
GPA: BS Business Economics, 1.449 of 5.000 (magna cum laude, consistent semestral awards; 1.000 being the highest grade)
GMAT: 770 (Q49 V47)
Co-curricular:
- Intern at EY (Financial Service & Risk Management Advisory; value chain analyses, derivatives structuring & valuation)
- Research Assistant at Institute for Development & Econometric Analysis (National think-tank; global macro quantitative modelling and forecasting)
- Passed FRM level 1 (top quartile in all topics)
Extra-curricular:
- Founded inter-university finance organisation (grew from 50 to over 800 in 2 years, partnered with 3 other universities, now accounts for 2% of stock market accounts of Filipinos below 30 years old)
- National semi-finalist in McKinsey & Co. case competition (restructuring & relaunching bank remittances business), national semi-finalist in valuation competition
- Executive positions in other organisations
Thank you very much!
