Filling in parental information on the applicaiton [#permalink] New post 20 Sep 2012, 21:57
Hi,

I'm wondering why you ask for parental information, and also if not filling it in would affect my admission decision?

My parents were born overseas, and neither of them attended college. They're not C-suite execs, so I won't be doing myself any political favors by including my parents' information, but would I be hurting my chances of gaining admission if I left this information out?

Thanks.

I wonder why you are are shying away from providing information about your parents. What if they are not C-Suite execs? What if they are born overseas? How does it make them less worthy to be mentioned in your application?

Despite not being college graduates themselves, your parents have done a wonderful job in raising a successful and ambitious young professional like you. If you are the first person in your family to go to college , the credit goes to your parents.

You should NOT leave this key information out.

I hope it helped.
