Hi all,
I have three more weeks left until I am taking the official GMAT exam (May 30th), and I have been prepping for about two months now.
I am looking for advice on how to structure my final three weeks of prep so that I maximize my improvement potential going into the exam.
Two months ago I purchased the
MGMAT self-prep package, and started by taking one of
MGMAT CATs - scored a 680 (Q37/44%, V45/99%). Spoke with an instructor and was told to focus exclusively on Quant until I finished all the
MGMAT Quant guides and completed all the
OG problems.
I did this for 5-6 weeks, then took another CAT and was extremely disappointed to score a 630 (Q39/46%, V37/82%). A lot of this was down to timing issues on Quant and fatigue on the Verbal (the first CAT didn't have IR and I was having a hard time really focusing on the Verbal). After that I started redoing the questions I got wrong in the OG13 book untimed to really understand them.
After a few days I called the instructor again to discuss why my score dropped, and kept revising the OG13 problems I got wrong. As of yesterday, another week had passed from that second
MGMAT CAT, and I had finished revising the OG13 problems I got wrong. So, I took my third CAT and managed to score a 700 (Q42/54%, V42/96%), which felt good, but I was still disappointed by the minor improvement in Quant and the slight dip in verbal vs. the first CAT. I was much more strict on timing this time around.
Now, with three weeks to go, I'm looking for suggestions on how I can maximize my improvement potential until I sit the real exam. I have three
MGMAT CATs, the two GMATPrep CATs and the OG13 Quant and Verbal review guides left to work on. I feel like at this stage, I seriously need to do something new to start boosting my Quant which just isn't going up as quickly as I would have hoped. Also, although my Verbal is decent, I feel like I am lacking concrete strategies for CR and RC. I am looking to score 730 or above.
Sorry for the long post - any advice on how I should structure these final weeks would be really appreciated!!
Thanks!!
