What effect will this have on the career prospects of current/future MBA students? Will HF/PE become less attractive career options?

The bill has not yet passed, but it's expected to become law (in some incarnation or another), likely before 7/4.

Thoughts?

It won't change a thing. HF and PE will morph, and aren't really a target industry for MBAs anyway (at least not immediately for 99% of students).

I am waiting for it to be passed before I read it, but huge amounts of a business plan I am working on will be influenced by the content.
