Put me down for Laos, Brunei, or Burma.

Re: First applicant ever from my country [#permalink]
I am 98% sure that no one from my country ever went to the top MBA programs....There is only a small community of students in the states and....we pretty much know what each of us is doing. A couple of my friends are in Medical Schools (not top programs though)....but for JD and MBA, I have never heard anyone attempting it. Also, I have read class profiles on several schools' websites and...my country's name is not mentioned in the list of countries where students come from.
May be we are not at that level as other super-smart ppl who got into top programs. We will see.

How should I mention this fact in my applcation so that it works in my favor?
Any advice?
Thanks.

You still didn't tell us what country you are from. Also, list out which schools you are calling "top" programs. This way we are all defining them the same way as you when we respond.

BTW, which country are you from? I guess anybody reading this post will be more curious to know your country of origin than who will be winning the election......

By top programs, I mean those top 10 schools. (Harvard, Standford, Wharton...etc)
Sorry, I don't think I should mention my country's name...for personal reasons. Lets just say country X.

If I were a betting man, which I'm not, except on days ending with 'y', I would put my money on Brunei.

I put Brunei in my guessing because its so small......but you would think somebody in the Sultan's posse would want an American MBA for bragging rights???

It makes no sense to start this thread if you do not want to say the name of the country you are from.

This is so frustrating! TELL US YOUR COUNTRY!

Wouldnt it be funny if he said "Hello, I am from this country in the Australian continent"....because at least we could guess on that and be confident in our guesses!!!

I am going to say East Timor as well ..newly consituted country where the number of students going abroad may be relatively low given the socio-economic situation there.

But if the kind gent will not tell us than it is all moot ...
