Hi All,

I wrote my First GMAT today and ended up getting with 540 . Started preparing for it couple of months ago and used following books:

Manhattan GMAT series for CR, RC , SC and Quant.
Practice Content : MGMAT Series and OG12

Mock tests:

GMATprep - 510
MGMAT 1 - 590 (Q43,V27)
MGMAT 2 - 590 (Q44,V27)
GMATprep - 600 (Q47,V26)

I'm a non-native english speaker having 2.2 years of work exp as a software engineer and 9 months of experience in sales and customer service.

I found that during the exam the temperament was not the same as it used to be in practice exams.
While practicing from OG12, I scored around 70% in SC and CR questions. SC was my strongest part and devoted a great deal of time on Idioms and stuff. But I found my self struggling on SC, CR and RC during the exam. As I took more than expected time to read and comprehend the RC and lost focus.

I am planning to write it again. I am expecting to improve my Quant score upto 48.

For Verbal part , Could anybody please suggest my any books, strategies and studying methodologies need to be followed?

Will much appreciate it!!

Thanks,

Sumeet

One item you left out - what score are you looking for?

Second item - how much time do you have?

P.S. Yes, during the exam everything is different but it should not be that different from your practice tests, just more intense.
