Re: First GMAT prep practice exam - realistic? [#permalink]
Hey guys,

Got a 730 today (Q49 V40)... I'm kind of dissappointed and debating whether or not it's worth it to retake it... The test was a little "different" than what I expected... I'll write a debrief tomorrow. Tonight is Halloween party time so time to go "celebrate"

Yeah I hear you man. I was a little disappointed about my 730 as well. At least your score is pretty balanced though, so it may not be worth it to retake, cause really - a 730 is a great score.

It is disappointing though, especially since we both performed better on our practice tests.

I'll be looking forward to your debrief.

Haha thanks dude. Yeah man, the first round I bungled it, I went in so nervous that my mind kinda shut down, especially for math. This time I went in totally relaxed. I had come to terms with the 730 and had accepted that that might be my score - I mean it is a good score. So just having that mindset where this time didn't matter so much, it felt like I was taking a practice test and I was able to nail it.

But yeah man, let me know if you decide to retake it. The past month I basically just coasted, after my test I took a week off, then went to studying for about an hour to an hour and a half per night just to keep things fresh.
