Well I've studied Manhattan Gmat books for 1,5 month together with the questions from the official guide. Today I took, one of the two official cat test.
The result was 590 Q:47 V:25. I can say I am a little disappointed and I need some piece of advice.

Considering Quant , it is not bad, but I was expecting a little bit higher. I was disturbed in the beginning and made 5 questions in a row wrong (3-5), from what I've read in forum, this might have an effect in the quant score, is this true?

For the Verbal, the catastrophe was Sentence Correction with 8/17 wrong. On CR I got 8/11 correct and in RC 10/13 (with a small disturbance, this can be better).

What is bothering me is that, my low Verbal was score mainly because of SC?
In addition how can I improve in Verbal and mainly in SC?
(eg. non native speaker)

Hi Drakos,

The good news for you is that Sentence Corrections are generally where my students are able to make the biggest strides! The reason is that all of the most commonly-tested points of English grammar can be easily learned. To improve your GMAT Verbal score, and particularly Sentence Correction, focus on mastering the 6 most-tested grammar areas:

1) Subject-Verb agreement
2) Pronouns
3) Modifiers
4) Parallel Construction
5) Idioms
6) Verb tenses

In addition to English grammar, it's also important to be aware of certain "Effectiveness Rules," as I call them. Remember that Sentence Corrections test correct AND effective English expression. You might get to a situation where you technically have two grammatically correct answer choices that you're choosing between, so how do you choose the right one? The most effective answer is correct in all cases. There are a number of things that make one sentence more effective than another, so be sure to learn them.

There are some great FREE videos about GMAT Verbal on my YouTube channel (search "Dominate the GMAT") and of course I'm always here to help if you need anything else.

Best of luck to you!
