For a contest at the upcoming county fair, Marie advocates for a ring toss because the ring toss is consistently the favorite activity of the children who attend the fair. Anne, however, points out that adults win most of the prizes when playing ring toss. To make the chances of winning fair for everyone, Anne proposes a raffle. Marie rebuts that those who can afford to spend more on raffle tickets will have better chances of winning. The two agree to hold a raffle in which each person can buy only one ticket. You have two things in discussion here:
1. ring toss
- pro: kids love it
- con: adults win most of the prizes
2. raffle
- pro: it's fair
- con: not really, since some people can afford more tickets than others
The highlighted phrases in my reasoning match the highlighted sections in the argument.
If you can see the stem in an organized way, you'll know the answer is indeed the one pointed out by you.

I was confused between B and E. can some one explain me the difference between "the second invalidates the reason for promoting the other activity." and the second invalidates the other participant's reasoning.. I think the diff between B & E is argument/conclusion.

I fail this type of question many times. but then I find that T digram by Manhantan is effective for this type
normally, we have an opposite idea which is not main conclusion.
make T diagram, on the left , write main conclusion and its evidence, on the right write opposite idea and its evidence
this way we know exactly what is the bf and its relation with the main conclusion and opposite idea/conclusion.
go to answer choices, looking for a match.
but this type of question is very hard.
