D..

27* = 27 *3 = 81..

If you solve the stem you will get 3*9*1/2 *6 = 81

81.
9* = 3 muliplied by 9(9 is odd)
6* = 1/2multiplied by 6(6 is even)
so 9* multiplied by 6* = 27 multiplied by 3 = 81.

D.

9* = 27 (9X3)

6* = 3 (0.5 X6)

9* X 6* = 27 X 3 = 81

or 81= 27 X 3,

So 27* = 9* X 6*

Agree with D. This is one of those tricky ones which one can really mess up under pressure. Its a very very easy question but can really misguide anyone.

Good question Yach :)
