I really enjoyed this post as an international i really struggled in the verbal section (23).I think i will follow your advice and get down to fundamental.

Anybody is having idea about the e-gmat and gmat-pill. They claim to give good results.

I think that depends on your fundamental understanding of grammar before you start preparing for the GMAT. For some non-native speakers, reading a grammar book to get the basics down will help a lot. For some, it's not so important since they have a good grasp of the fundamentals and only need to tune their skills to adapt to the GMAT.

Thanks gurpreetsingh for creating this dedicated thread.

I am preparing for SC along with you guys. I tried a lot for RC but I do not think that RC can be improved beyond a certain limit. It all depends upon the passage you encounter.

I am going to start reading newspapers/books to improve RC.

Any recommendations for newspapers ?? specially for finance / worker/policies related passages.

I am done with OGs and Verbal Review for RC passages. Still I struggle few types of RC questions, specially inference/suggests questions.

I want to practice more questions, and I hope that it will increase my accuracy.
Please correct me if I am wrong and please suggest what should be solved for RC after OGs ?

I am missing main idea questions every single time. I am thinking of taking 10 different RC passages from 1000RC and focus on main idea questions alone. I will let you know whether that improves my accuracy.

For inference questions, please read that chapter from powerscore cr bible. Or you can read whip's guide on the same topic.

I started reading the opinion section of WSJ. I used to read the articles I like. Now i started forcing myself into reading the opinion section, which is almost like rc passages.

Thanks for your reply. I am trying hard to improve RC, however till date I have never developed interest in reading newspaper and now here is the result of that.

Even after completing OGs and Verbal Review, still I miss RC questions. I think I am going to follow Gurupreet´s suggestions about reading the material.

Apart from that, can you please send me link to Whip´s document you mentioned above ?

Scored 15/25 on Mgmat SC question bank. I performed badly, but learned a lot from the sc bank. Very good questions.

For CR and RC, PowerScore CR and MGMAT RC helped me well.

For SC, I obviously use MGMAT SC, and I'll be reviewing this book and corresponding OG12 problems a few more times. SC is still my Achilles heal.

There is no accuracy for a score alone.

You could get 50% correct and score V40+
You could get 50% correct and score V25.

Accuracy is meaningless without the difficultly.

I think it's a bit exaggerated. With only 50% accuracy, GMAT won't provide you with hard questions or at most very rarely.

On GMATPrep, I got V40 with about 80-90% in CR/RC, and 65% in SC. Prior to that I scored V35 with roughly 55% overall in Verbal.
