B?

D would have been better if the last part for removed. In B it correctly refers to Bangladesh. Its not clear in the other choices.

C is having a problem.

"it" is not having a cleat referrent. is it "bangladesh" or "east pakistan" which ones former name.

B is more clear and concize.

D is having redundant part "Bangladesh's earlier name "

D would have been ideal, except for that redundant second half. Somehow, B also does not sound that good to me. Perhaps B is the one-eyed option in a gang of blinds
