How many probability/combination problems did you encounter?

This is something which I especially have trouble with and would like to know if its worth the effort to take this in or just focus on other parts of the test I am weak on. Thanks.

It depends when your exam is and what your quant score objective is. If you want to pass the 47+Q, then you should focus on this. There has actually been a lot of prob/perm/comb problems in the forum. Have you tried to understand them? If you need assistance, this link may help you in your endeavors

There is no specific answer to it.It could vary depending on your performance in the quant section. As in my case,if you are touching 47 ...you would be seeing at least one question of each type even tho I didnt get any probability question.

But dont worry all these questions check only the basics and does not involve multiple level solving.

Hope this helps.

It does depend. I took the GMAT this morning, and got only 1 combination problem (that was INCREDIBLY easy), and 1 simple probability problem. I still managed to score a 50 on the math. I will post more about my GMAT experience when I get back from vacation.

right well from my more recent practice scores I am looking at high 40's maybe 50 and want to know how far to delve into these problems.

SigepUCI, maybe you could give an example of what the probability and combination problems you received were like. Again i don't want to get bogged down in something that won't be tested. Thanks for everyone's help.
