I am from upstate NY - would LOVE to be there for the event since many of my schools of interest will be there. Last time my trip to NYC was disastrous - missed infosession and car broke down _________________
The drawing was done randomly but I wanted to give those who have been members for a longer time and those who have participated quite a bit a greater chance of victory, so here is how it worked: 1. everybody got a number of points (number of chances that they could win) 2. 1 chance for every post made and 5 chances for every kudos 3. Then everybody got a percentile arranged and their chances of winning 4. I have arranged the usernames in reverse order (the latest sign ups went first) 5. Here is how the table looked, so for example amp0201 had 11 chances of winning if the number was between 1 and 11 6. Random number was generated and it was 68.7, which can be rounded up to 69 and that was (by one point) within shaselai's territory. He is the winner.
