Friends,
I am going through a grammer book. The example sentence in that book is reading "Does Nora have just one daughter?" I am sure it must be correct. But I want to know why the sentence "Does Nora has just one daughter?" is incorrect? or why the example sentence is correct? Because according to my knowledge with third per it should be always "has" not "have". Thanks a lot for your co-operation.

Ya you are right. Third person singular number we should always have "has". But here "Does" is taking care of the third person.

We say " Does he play football?" not "Does he plays football"...

Thanks geturdream,
I have one more question in this case. If a sentence is saying "Nora has just one daughter." and i want to make the interogative statement from this. Now can you please advise me which one is correct?
1) Has Nora just one daughter?
2) Does Nora have just one daughter?

Or both are correct?
Thanks for the help

I would say only number (2) is correct.
