Frustrated In Cali [#permalink] New post 28 Apr 2008, 20:34
Hello Everybody,

Here is my spiel on the GMAT preparation thus far. I've started since late December of 2007 and took the online MGMAT course for 9 weeks. I completed the course in February and have been drilling practically everyday for 10 - 15 hours per week. I use the error log that was given to me from the MGMAT site and have been working through it. In addition, I have been studying with a partner for about two and a half months drilling, reviewing and helping each other get through this test. I have taken 5 practice exams and here are my scores:

Test 1: 400
Test 2: 520
Test 3: 400
Test 4: 410
Test 5: 400

I have accepted the fact that it will take me over the summer to get prepared for this test. I'm posting this thread to say that I'm frustrated as many others are at some point and I've invested way too much time to give up on scoring decent on this test.

This is my rant...

Your tests - were those the MGMAT CATs? They are harder than the real thing. Have you taken a GMATprep test yet?

I would also talk to the folks at Manhattan GMAT. Do they have some kind of guarantee? Is there someone there who can review your results and offer some suggestions for improvement? They should be able to help you, even though your course is over. If you showed no improvement at all, then talk to them for help.

Yes all of the CAT'S I have taken were that of MGMAT. I think I will email the MGMAT team and see what kind of suggestions they can offer to help me better my studying. Then again, 4 months for me is not enough preperation. Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

Best regards,
Optimistic
