Full time MBA - Admit from Thunderbird [#permalink] New post 05 May 2013, 00:26
My GMAT score is a 660, TOEFL score is 113. I have 2 yrs of work experience. I have received an admit from Thunderbird with a 15k scholarship. How good is an MBA from Thunderbird for my profile? What are the other schools that would be suitable for my profile?

It depends on what you want to do after the MBA? Thunderbird is known for its focus on International Business - is that what excited you to apply to the b-school? Go through the employment reports of Thunderbird and determine if students have got jobs similar to what you are seeking.

Thanks for replying. I want to specialize in Finance and then start my career as an Investment Analyst. Would an MBA from Thunderbird be suitable? I applied to Thunderbird because it is ranked well in International Management. Does that guarantee good global exposure for my specific career interest? Also, I would like to know if the employment opportunities in Thunderbird are as good as those in any other business school, as i have been receiving mixed reviews regarding this.

Well one thing you have to be careful about is the possibility of getting a job. thunderbird is strange in that it is a well-considered school, but with less than fantastic employment statistics: http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/ra ... rbird.html

Whether this is good enough for you is something you need to decide for yourself.
