Gayle's hypothesis OF ..... that's not idiomatically correct.

(B) of different mental functions that are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today
(C) that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today

has B been : of different mental functions localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today" it would have been correct
apparently the correct option to me is C
