Does anyone watch this show? It's awesome, and season 3 just premiered.

Yes, a lot of people watch that show (myself included) I felt that season 3, episode 1 was too short... it's almost enough to make me wait until the whole season's been released and watch it straight through. Almost.

And it's Game of Thrones, not Games.

Thanks; fixed that typo. They always feel too short! Have you read the books? I finished the fifth recently.

I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't read them I've heard they're quite good, though! I'd like to read them, if I had a lot of spare time. It's all I can do to keep up with work these days. And when I do get a spare moment, I find myself reading about business school!

I haven't read the books yet (I'll get to them once Martin finishes the series), but the show is excellent. Season three's first episode indeed felt a tad short. We also missed a key battle Beyond the Wall. I guess they spent this episode's budget on the giant, dragons, and manticore. Plus, maybe it would have taken up too much screen time. With that said, I enjoyed it and look forward to the rest of season three!

A Song of Ice and Fire is amazing, as is GoT. I was a tad disappointed by the upfront "reveals" in season three's premiere, but it's easier crafting twists in a novel than a show (for example, Bran and Rickon in season two). I'm actually very excited for this season, though. I think I speak on behalf of most readers when I say that we are MOST eager to see A Storm of Swords come to life. For those of you who only watch the show, well, you're in for quite the ride.

Now all I need in my life is the season premiere of Breaking Bad...since that'll happen way before The Winds of Winter gets published!

The series is absolutely excellent. The books are amongst the best fantasy I've ever read, and the serialisation is superb - top notch acting, scripting, pacing. I could very easily get even more gushy.

If you understand every word in context in A Song of Fire and Ice, you'll probably have a good start for the GRE vocabulary:)
