The perimeter of a rectangular window is 28 feet. What is the
length of the window?

(1) The difference between the length and width is 2 feet.
(2) The length of the window is 1/3 greater than the width.

OA is B...does this mean that on the gmat, length is not automatically longer than width?

I understand your concern. I would have gone with D since generally l > w. What is the source of this problem?

Hi,

The question is from Jeff Sackmann's question set. I originally went for D as well but understand why it could also be B. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the GMAT's official take on this is?
