Got admitted to GeorgeTown and that too with Schol :lol: .. congratulations to all the admits. So anyone certain on joining Mcdonough?

I got an admit as well - but no mention of scholarship as yet. when I asked the associate dean who had called - I was informed I will find the details in welcome binder. I really wish there will be scholarship in binder though none is mentioned in online portal.

I am losing hope for R1 and am looking for some R2 schools to apply to. How is Georgetown for entrepreneurship focused students? Given that GT's yield is around 35% will they look down on R2 applicants since many people apply there as a safety school later on in the app season?

I recieved the welcome binder 3-4 days ago via fed-ex. I am an international student from India. which country r u from?

Hey All,

Admissions is out for the holidays so hoping to get some insight from you all.

My recommenders each wrote a consolidated letter. When submitting the letter, they were asked a series of questions which were addressed in their letter. May my recommenders simply comment in each box “Please see included letter of recommendation” or must they extract the pertinent information from the letter and answer each question individually?

Congrats to all who got an admit!! I am applying to R2 (missed R1 :( ) and have a question about the GMAT score report. Is it mandatory to send the official score report to the school before you apply? The info is a bit unclear on the website. Now its too late to send it on time. Freaking out and feel dumb :(
Can any of the admits from R1 help on this!!

I don't recall the application asking for official GMAT scores. I did so anyways just in case, but given that there is a section to unofficially report your scores I don't think they'll hold off on reviewing your application because of this. That being said, it might be a good idea to send the scores ASAP. Best of luck to you!

For all round 1 applicants - are any of you folks going to Admit Weekend, or thinking of matriculating?

What a quick turn around! Invited for a R2 interview (submitted a couple days before the deadline). And here I thought I would have a few days to relax after sending in my final R2 app this week :lol:

I just submitted on Friday too. It makes me wonder if they already read through my entire application or just did some initial filter and sent out interview invites.

A couple of days ago I got an email from Georgetown stating that they have extended the deadline for me. I can send my application within this Sunday instead. Do you know how common this is? It certainly seems like my profile, and perhaps I can have a chance to get a scholarship? Who knows :)

I highly doubt that Georgetown had time to go over all the application, essays and recommendations before inviting us for the interview. My guess is that they are calling us based upon certain filter as mentioned above and it seems GMAT>=700 is that threshold (maybe lower like 680). It seems, they have made interview a bigger part of filtering candidate (as oppose to second level of filtering for most other school).
