I have a big dilemma. Fellow people at GMAT club please share your inputs.
I have an admit from ISB with no scholarship and have an admit from a GATech with $$$$. I am having a really tough time to choose. Ultimately it comes to where I want to work post MBA , but if we take out this factor can you please help me reach a conclusion.
Depends on what your long term goals are. How much WE have you got ? Which sector do you want to be after an MBA ?
ISB has a clear brand advantage in India , GATech is not that well known here
The situation is quite opposite when you are overseas.
Also GATech is very apt if you want to consider technology as one of your concentration. You should also consider the location of GATech at Atlanta ( whole lot of opportunities there ). One more line of thinking : if you want to really immerse yourself in business ( and come from a non business engineering background ) , then according to me , a two year course is better suited than the one year module at ISB. This will allow you sufficient time for the concepts and the tricks to percolate.
Last, but not the least , enjoy the free ride , meet new people and enjoy new cultures ( and that is a personal advice )
I agree with jnljinson on the 1 year vs the 2 year part, I would suggest if you can manage the living expenses (apart from the scholarship) you should choose GA Tech over ISB. You can PM me for any further details
