Getting destroyed on GMAT club tests [#permalink] New post 07 Sep 2012, 14:54
Really getting worried. My gmat club quant test scores are getting worse. First test i got a 43, then a 32, and now a 28! No idea what's going on, or how accurate these tests are compared to the actual GMAT, but the questions are pretty tough. Am I freaking out too much, or is this a legitimate concern? Curious to hear about other people's experience.

GMAT Club tests are intentionally harder than the regular GMAT, thats the point. Also, please someone correct me if I am wrong, I think the index scores they give are based on the people who have taken the gmatclub.com tests already, who, on the whole, score much higher (especially in quant) than the average gmat test taker. So with tougher questions and a more skilled group to compare your performance with, you will get a lower index score.

Thanks. That makes me feel a bit better. Still alarmed that my score keeps going down. I've noticed that each test focused on one topic more than others. The question types definitely were not spread evenly. I wonder if that's intentional. I guess the GMAT club CAT is picking out my weaknesses and asking 700+ level questions consistently.
