Hello Scott/Omari. I need a little advice. What do you think is a good and appropriate gift to give a recommender? I applied to 5 schools. I was thinking a nice bottle of wine or a $25 gift certificate to something. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Just to clarify - have your recommender completed his LOR for you? Or are you thinking of giving the gift before/as he writes the recommendation?

Yes, my LORs are done and my applications are in, so now I want to thank them with something more than just a thank you note.

Sorry, this is very late! I completely missed your post before.

I think the gift cert. or the bottle of wine is completely appropriate. That's a nice, thoughtful gesture on your part!
