GMAT 640 (Q43, V35). Should I retake the GMAT? or what next? [#permalink]

Hello team,

Just took my GMAT yesterday and got a 640. Although a part of me tells me that I should take me GMAT again, I am not sure if it will be fruitful as this attempt came after a dedicated 3 months effort.

My profile is as below:
1. 3 years work-ex in IT with 1 year in a start-up.
2. GPA is a 2 on a scale of 4.
3. Strong extra-curriculars (mostly event-management; have orgazised events as big as $200,000, assuming that $1=Rs.50/-)
4. IP value creation for the start-up.

I am open to study in USA,UK and in India as long as the institute is good.

What do you I should do?

It all depends on the college you want to go to. There are some institutes where 640 will be acceptable, there are others where it is not (especially coupled with GPA of 2)
Do your research on the colleges you want to apply to and then decide whether you should re-take.
