GMAT 720, good for any PhD program in finance?

GMAT 720, good for any PhD program in finance? [#permalink] New post 07 Dec 2011, 23:01
Hi guys,
I took GMAT last month and got 720 (Q49, V41).
Is this score good enough for PhD in Finance? I'm targeting top 50 schools.
Many people said 720 is just entry-level for Finance PhD, so I'm kind of losing my confidence now.

FYI, my profile:
Undergrad: BA Economics, 3.78/4 Foreign Trade University, Vietnam
Grad: MBA, 3.93/4 Marshall University, US
Research assistant (undergrad, 2 semesters); graduate assistant (2 years of MBA).
LOR: Marshall professors, 1 legal, 1 finance, 1 quant
Pub: No
CFA level 2 candidate (if it makes any sense???)

With you background it well worth a shot to apply to top 50 schools. I you take 2 and 3rd CFA and become certified, that is another big plus for your 720.
