GMAT Advice Needed [#permalink] New post 13 May 2005, 15:23
Hi guys... I am kinda new to this forum. I've been reading all your post and advice on how to study for the GMAT. I am currently enrrolled in the Kaplan Program, and find it pretty useful, specially because I am not a native english speaker. I got a copy of the OG for GMAT and started doing some problems besides my Kaplan homework and tests. My question is, when I study the OG, what percentage of correct questions should I be targeting if I want to get 700+ on the real test? Is my goal to sit down and get 95% right, 90% right or 80% right to be in the 700+ level?

Thanks,

OACM

I think you need to get 100% on all questions below 700 level and 50% on questions above 700 level.

I would say getting a strike rate of 90% or more on the OG should get you 700.

A small amendment in Paul's view.---------'getting a strike rate of 90% or more on the OG LAST 100 PROBLEMS should get you 700.

I don't know about the Q because OG Q is kind easy, but for V, yes, strike above 90% should make you 700 club.
