Hi Guys and Gals,

Just for Fun,
Mine are:
1. SURVIVOR: “Eye of the tiger” – it really inspires and motivates me; especially helpful when you feel low. Recommended for all test-takers.
2. NIN: “The hands that feeds” – When I get a high score on my practice test, I listenit in order to not become too overconfident. It really helps to stay on Earth:)
3. ENIGMA: “Voyager” – I always try to listen this one before taking CAT. It works like an energy-booster for me.
4. ALL of the Clawfinger. – for relaxation.

Would love to hear your lists….

regards

SURPRISE, SURPRISE...

U2's "Elevation" is my hymn for GMAT after I take my practice tests... and when I am down, thinking I will never beat the GMAT (or any other obstacle), I would remind myself that I might end up somewhere "Where the streets have no name" if I keep thinking negatively... even though it might be nice to escape there from our chaotic life

can't study with music on... it excites and distracts me... especially U2, cause I know the lyrics and inclined to sing along (though my girlish vocals suck ...)

I'll try to think of others... now my car's CD player has Pearl Jam...

"Elevation"?
i believe I know that song. Isn't it from Tomb Raider?
But I can't remember that there were "where the streets have no name" words.

yep... "elevation" is from Tomb Raider but it wasn't written specifically for it... it is on "All that you can't leave behind" 2000 album

"where the streets have no name" is a another must-hear song... I am sure you heard it, it's the HIT from U2's album "Joshua Tree" from the late 1980s. This song is probably one of the most favorites of mine... hell, there are a lot of them...

from recent ones:
Sometimes you can't make it on your own
Miracle Drug very powerful song, IMO
Love and Peace
A man and A woman
Electrical Storm
Kite

from the older:
The Fly
Until the end of the world
Stay (faraway, so close)
Gone
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (this one is from Batman soundtrack)
All I want is You
So Cruel
Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World
Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
Acrobat
Silver and Gold
The Electric Co
Another Time, Another Place
Out of control
New Year's Day

MUST HAVE ALBUMS: well for me... all of them ... for others the following:

The Joshua Tree
The Achtung Baby
How to dismantle an atomic bomb
both "The Best Collections"

and if you want to watch the concerts, I recommend "The Zoo TV" tour in Australia... and the "Vertigo" tour in Chicago or "Elevation" tour in Boston

what a list

MAKE SURE to check those all out AFTER the GMAT life... that is if you are interested... otherwise you might get addicted and start reading more and more about the band rather than studying SC book

Looks like U2 songs are the source of inspiration for the Test. Indeed, they are helpful, especially when you are drained of the study.
