GMAT CAT vs KAPLAN CAT`s vs MGMAT CAT`s [#permalink] New post 04 Apr 2011, 00:37
Hey,

I have been scoring in the 700 to 740 range in the Kaplan CAT`s and wanna know from other`s experiences, the level of similarity between the Actual GMAT CAT and the Kaplan CAT`s.

I have two weeks before i take the actual GMAT and i plan to take atleast 10 CAT`s before that.

I have options of taking either the Kaplan CAT`s or the MGMAT CAT`s .

Which ones are the most similar to the actual GMAT... Which ones should i take? :?:

I tried the GMAT score calculator but i dont feel it assess`s the Kaplan`s new CAT`s really well,
The new Kaplan Personal Learning System has 9 CAT`s which are very different from its earlier versions and i feel the score calculator overestimates the actual difficulty level of the Kaplan CAT`s

Possibly... it is only as good as the data.
you should take either MGMAT or GMAT prep if you feel it is not accurate

P.S. You don't need to kill yourself. Once you are familiar with the test structure/tricks/etc, there is not much value in taking 10 tests in 2 weeks. I would cut it down to 4-5 and instead do more extensive review.

10 tests in 1 week is major overkill! Don't do it... I'd recommend a maximum of 3 tests per week. Only then would you have the time to review them thoroughly. The tests taken at the starting stages of your preparation are meant to measure your progress. The tests taken towards the end of your preparation are meant to increase your stamina.
