Fellow GMATians,

My target score is 700 plus. I have taken 7 Kaplan test and last 3 scores have been 590, 610, 630 (directionally OK, but no where close to where I’d like my final score). Frankly, I am a bit frustrated now!!
I’d like your thoughts on
1) 630 on Kaplan CAT, what does that mean on actual GMAT?? I’d think the actual GMAT is tougher than Kaplan CAT
2) Can you suggest me some good (tough) CATs. I don’t mind spending $ if I can get the best results. I have a month. I have a month before the judgement day and I want to do as many tests as possible.

Good luck,

The Kaplan tests are bit harder when compared with real GMAT (That's the talk on the GMAT streets :-))

Even i am preparing to take the GMAT in the next couple of months or so...

Why dont you go to www.mba.com and download GMAT Prep software and take the GMAT Prep1. This will really tells you where you are.
If you are not already familiar - www.mba.com gives us 2 free GMAT CAT tests.

Cheers!

(1) A 630 on a Kaplan CAT is solid. Kaplan's tests used to have a reputation of being much harder than the actual GMAT. However, recently there has been some discussion about Kaplan's new, revised tests. Apparently, those are easier than their predecessors.

(2) For hard test simulations, MGMAT offers six online tests for free when you buy any one of the eight guides. Those tests are challenging. For hardcore math practice, though, GMATClub Tests are recommended.

As nravi4 mentioned, the two GMATPrep CAT's are the most accurate predictors of your actual GMAT performance.
