Hello all,
My question is related to the GMAT Club Challenges.
My percentile score is pretty low averaging around 64%. The no. of questions I get right is approximately24-27. Now I saw a post 8-t66616, where people have been getting the same number correct but a percentile score of app.80-90% If more people are attempting the challenges and scoring better then yes I expect myy percentile score to be lower. However now I am confused as to gauge my performance. How would you say my performance would correlate to the actual GMAT? I completed a GMAT focus diagnostic exam and my score was 44-51 with an 80% confidence level. I would be grateful for your opinion.
Thanks so much!!

I would say that doing well on challenges correlates well to high quant scores, but doing poorly does not necessarily mean you will do poorly on the real thing. This is because the challenges have more little attention tricks than the GMAT has (e.g., indicating a variable is positive, negative, an integer, etc.).

Note your mistakes -- are they attention mistakes or understanding of the material mistakes? These are two very different things...

Hey guys,
Thanks for your advice.
zoinnk- I know the GMAT challenges are just that challenging, however, I seem to be making the same mistakes all the time. Unfortunately I do get demotivated considering I feel like I am learning from my mistakes. So I was wondering if these scores are any indication of my performance. So I do not know if I should take the percentile score or the actual score in measuring my performance. But Thank you for your advice.

dzyubam- Thanks alot for the link , I definitely find it useful.
