Hello GMAT Club! We are excited to introduce a new user profile on GMAT Club Forum. It is easy and intuitive, will help our community to have significantly better stats about applicants every year, and will give everyone additional insights about the applicant pool. If you have not done so yet, please fill out your profile right now with GMAT, Undergrad, and MBA information. It will help you see how you rank and will be a great help to everyone else too!
Please update your profile! Not a member? Sign up here Attachment:

What Is the New User Profile We have recently improved the GMAT Club user profile functionality. Here is what it means: - Added many new fields (such as undergrad GPA, application round, and others)
Added a list of School (currently 31 most popular schools are included and others added as needed, request if yours is missing) - Automated School Roll Call lists (more on this below in the Benefits section)
- Made the profile more intuitive (hopefully - if not, please let us know)
- Added privacy settings
How Does It Work? - If you signed up with GMAT Club after 7/15, you can create and update your profile by clicking My Profile link in the upper right hand corner
- If you signed up with GMAT club prior to 7/15/2011, you will have an option to keep your old TEXT profile or to upgrade it to the new Advanced one. To upgrade, please visit My Profile link and click the "Upgrade" button. Many of your settings and fields will be imported but some you may have to input again but it should not take more than just a minute or two. If you enter any schools, you will show up on the Roll Call Automatically. If you would prefer not to, please set the privacy setting accordingly. Make sure you click the save button on every page!
Why Should I Fill Out the Profile? What are the Benefits? - Automation of the Roll Call Lists for each of the Schools :
- Summary Table is generated on the fly for each school
- Each school gets a single Roll Call that is updated in real time and allows sorting (just click each of the column headers)
Detailed Applicant List: Chicago Booth Fall 2012 Roll Call
- Ranking and comparison against other applicants - see where you stand in terms of GPA and GMAT
GMAT Club's Real-time Admissions Statistics
- Decision Timeline (shows dates for interviews and admission decisions)
Attachment:
interviews-acceptances.gif [ 6.63 KiB | Viewed 63312 times ]
Find and Connect with people with similar backgrounds (and in the future, we will be able to connect with applicants from previous years) Profile data will help compile valuable statistics about admissions tends and relationships (we won't use any personalized data - this is purely for statistical fun and research)
Attachment:
GMAT Score.gif [ 8.4 KiB | Viewed 63304 times ]
Display the schools you are applying to on your profile - it is much easier now to add schools to your profile and you don't have to figure out how to deal with the color scheme. And remember, this data will also be populated on the roll call, so you don't have to enter it twice and moderators don't have to do as much manual work, so they can start posting more about schools and happenings

Want to contribute but have concerns about privacy? It is easy to protect your identity - just mark which data/stats you don't want to have publicly shared and it will never show

Great, How Do I See Stats for Other Schools? Please visit pages of other schools to see the latest statistics. You can find the full listing in the BSchool Forum and International BSchool Forum. Only discussions for 2012 application season will have the new roll calls and statistics. If a school you are interested in does not have the roll call and real time statistics, please PM me or reply in this thread. Here is a List of 2012 School Roll Calls that have been implemented. We'll keep updating it Questions or suggestions Shoot! (I mean, politely post here or via PM ) Interested? Check Out the Profile! Attachment:

Hey bb, Really useful tool. What about adding a section for reapplicants so that reapplicants don't need to add their school details twice?

On a side note, One thing I realized when I switched from my large desktop to a laptop is that we need to make the table a bit on the narrower side and save some real estate as it happens to be too wide!

Is the "X" on the "GMAT Club's Real-time Admissions Statistics" supposed to be me? It would be a logical use of the "X" but it shows up in the wrong spot.

What does matriculation mean? In India, its usually referred to the 10th grade.
Also, please include research and information industry in the WE drop-down. What should people working in companies like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, One Source, etc. choose?

Thank you for pointing this out - was not aware of this cultural difference!!! Matriculation means - you are entering a school (that's after you are accepted). So after a whole application process, a school would send an acceptance letter inviting you to matriculate. Some people (lucky) may have multiple acceptances letters, so they will only matriculate in one School. Does that make sense? P.S. Will add Research and Information industry.
