Please explain?

In the morning, John drove to his mother's house in the village at an average speed of 60 kmh. When he was going back to town in the evening, he drove more cautiously and his speed was lower. If John went the same distance in the evening as in the morning, what was John's average speed for the entire trip?

1.In the evening, John drove at a constant speed of 40 kmh.
2.John's morning drive lasted 2 hours.

Problem-1
1) sufficient. x= distance. x/60 = time that needed for morning trip, x/40= time needed for evening trip
mean speed is 2x/(x/60+x/40)=2x/(5x/120) = 48
2)insuff. we do not know the evening speed.
A

Problem-2
1)insuff.
If a and b are in the same side of c then answer is yes. But if they are not on the same side then answer becomes no.
2)insuff. say a=1, b=2 and c=11 on a number line. This equation holds and ab<10. But say a=1, b=20, c=30 equation still holds. But ab>10.
together insuff
we know ac+bc=10 from 1. We know ac+ab>10 from 2. That means bc<ab. That means c is closer to b than a. But we still do not know whether they are on the same side or not. Look at examples.
a=1, b=9, c=10 =>ab+ac>10; ac+bc=10 and ab<10
a=1, b=11, c=10 => ab+ac>10; ac+bc=10 and ab=10
E

problem-3
1)suff. 50 gram %35 means => 17,5 grams of acid and 32,5 grams of water. If we put 125 grams of water. We got a %10 percent mixture.
2)insuff. it is not a data. it is a reality. %35/%65=7/13 :D

Just wanted to confirm.

For Question 1 :

Could you please confirm whether my below point is correct

The given 60 kmh is the average speed for the whole morning trip ( towards + back). So we are not worried about whether his speed reduced during the return journery.

No. 60 is only for towards trip. Backward trip is in the evening.
