If x and y are positive integers, is the integer 10^x - y divisible by 9 ?
1. y is divisible by 3
2. 10^x + y is not divisible by 9

I guess answer is A - Stmt 1 is sufficient to say its not divisible by 9..

For any x - 10^x leaves a reminder 1, and when y is multiple of 3 (could be 3,6,9..) the second part y/9 can never leave a reminder 1.

Pls correct me if am wrong.
