Hi

If 25% of the company's employees contribute at least 4% of their salary to the Charity Fund, what percent of the company's employees contribute at least 5% of their salary to the Charity Fund?

20% of the company's employees contribute at least 4% but less than 5% of their salary to the Charity Fund
95% of the company's employees contribute less than 5% of their salary to the Charity Fund

For this question, the explanation is based on assumption that all 100% employees give something to charity, but this was never mentioned in teh question or choices.

althought statement 2 says 95% of the employees contribute less than 5% , can we not assume this 95% include persons contributing 5%, between 5% and 4% , 4% and less than 4%....someone please explain

I think we'll have to add a clarification to the stem. Thank you, +1.

You can't assume anything of that kind. This figure (95%) obviously can't include those who contributes exactly 5%. I'm not sure I understand why you need to assume that kind of thing?

bumping this question.

I have no idea, how to even approach this problem, the wording is so confusing, I tried to seperate the employees into 3 categories

who give.............at least 4%........................at least 4% but less than 5%................those who give 5%
.............................25%.............................................20%

I'm not sure how to proceed here, someone please help. :(
