savannahe wrote: Not that I am some sort of math genius, but if these questions are supposed to be for advanced levels grading should go accordingly. Obviously it cannot be as accurate as a CAT but other paper tests are able to give you a typical score. Since it is only a math test you can't score on a 800 but what you could do it give what a typical Q 1-60 would be. It makes sense to me to have a base score so if you get one right maybe you receive a 39 or something and if you get all right than a 60. You would have to do some standard deviations and testing to make sure it was accurate. But then you could see a general range. You have a ton of data when it comes to math sections because you have that GMAT Calculator. I would think that you could incorporate some numbers from there to see how accurate your system is. Thanks - will look into it.

I got a percentile score in the end, which was different from the % of correct answers. Is this relative to how others taking this test have performed? Btw, the questions were very good and challenging although I could only complete 38 in the allotted time.
Thanks for putting this together. Fantastic stuff!

Hi, I took the GMAT recently and received a score of 730. Your math test was very helpful in preparing me for the real thing. Kudos to all of you for putting together such a (dare I say it) beautiful array of math questions that was key to helping me perform so well.
Unfortunately, I am not that good at writing math questions! But I will submit at least a few verbal questions you guys can use later on. This is my own small way of giving back;

Thanks, it was a great exercise however in take online option, the question is different( i think its from before it was reworded) it asks to solve for 8small and 2large books, where he can choose 5 books but cant take 2 large at same time, wording was kind of confusing for me, i thought of it that he can take all 5 small books but then reading question it gave me impression that they want to take 1 large book hence i ended up finding probability for 1 large 4small books. Please see if you would like to reword that and clarify it little more.

bb, It would be good to give some sort of "performance guideline" to the takers of the diagnostics. I like what OG does; it has got "excellent", "above average", etc ratings based on the number of questions you got correct.

My main challenge is deciding which algorithm to use - I have a few too many to pick from...

I hope we did not mess too much with your confidence Our diagnostic test and gmat club tests do happen to be on the harder side, so perhaps you should see it as an opportunity to get to a higher score faster or as a motivation to reach higher ground rather than something that puts you down. The test was created to challenge you rather than make feel good (which is actually an important part of the process) - you just have to keep that in mind. I hope it is not too de-motivating.
