Below is a computer-based flashcard system. I used this while studying a foreign language awhile back. This system, called Mnemosyne, is so helpful because it's adaptive. It lets you rank each card by difficulty level (1 through 5). If it's level 1, then you haven't mastered that particular concept yet. The system then shows that card more frequently. The cards that you can answer easily (level 5) are shown less frequently. This is pretty good, as it allows you to focus on your weaknesses. In a sense, it's the ultimate error log for flashcards. Plus, it's free to download.

Fantastic resource. Really enjoyed going through it this morning before work. Only made it to page 26, but a few comments/questions.
On page 9, I don't understand the answer. It seems like it might be answering a slightly different question? If not, could someone explain to logic of the simplification to me? I came up with x = 49 (divisible by 7) for the second part, but not sure what the simplification is on the first part.
On page 13 (right side) - for the last fractions on the flash cards to match they should either be 87.5 or 83.5
On page 26, the number -8 and -9 are switched in the original question, so the answer is incorrect.
Thanks so much, looking forward to testing myself on the rest of the document!

A pair of scisscors can solve your problem I guess Quite reasonable to have 4 cards on one page since it's far more convenient to have a pack of small papers with a single concept on each. I've checked flashcards from different resources (MGMAT for instance) and everywhere they are in the same format.

Verbal p.86
" Example: A number of reasons – Singular! A number of cars – Singular! "
I think it should be [a number = plural, the number = singular] ?
Quote:
The construction the number of + plural noun is used with a singular verb (as in the number of people affected remains small). Thus it is the noun number rather than the noun people which is taken to agree with the verb (and which is therefore functioning as the head noun). By contrast, the apparently similar construction a number of + plural noun is used with a plural verb (as in a number of people remain to be contacted). In this case it is the noun people which acts as the head noun and with which the verb agrees. In the latter case, a number of works as if it were a single word, such as some or several. Hello! Thanks guys and really good job on the flashcards, ultra helpful!
I have a concern on page 21 though: formula says that 1/2b=2c, in the solution we find that b=4, and in the line after that we find 0.5*4=2c, which is equal to (b)*1/2=2c which is not the formula we have, so either we change the formula or put 1/(2*4)= 2c.

Thanks again for the amazing job
Thank you - took me a while to find the issue. Great catch with the fraction - tricky indeed. I have updated the file.
