This is Parijat here and require some serious guidance and help on the GMAT admission and stuff -
Firstly, my background -
1) GMAT score - 600 (attempt 2) 560 (attempt 1) AWA - 4 (both attempts).
2) First class with distinction in Engineering from a reputed Engg college in Pune University, India.
3) 3 years and 1 month work experience, till the time I am typing this in a reputed MNC with good profile. (2 promotions in 3 years). Outperform Award winner, and recognized by team lead many a times.
4) Active member of extra curricular activities in Work Location as well as in college. (Organized a National Level Technical competition in College).
5) Want to pursue MBA in a good University in US.
Questions (appreciate if some one can answer them individually)-
1) Is TOEFL required? If yes, when is the latest I need that to take? So that my applications to universities are not late?
2) Which Schools to apply for? Are there any chances for me for -
Boston University - School of Management - MBA, Full Time

City University of New York - Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business - Full-Time MBA
( Yes / No )
University of California - Davis - Graduate School of Management - MBA, Full Time
( Yes / No )
University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School - MBA

3) Do schools refer to the latest score / Average score / minimum score while thinking for admissions.
4) Your suggestions if this is a good time for me to apply? Should I be waiting for one more year (My age is already 25)? Another shot @ GMAT?
I know I am sounding a bit too ignorant about things happening around me - but if you can please help.
Your advice / suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated!!

buddy... no offence or no intention to discourage you but, you are looking at some of the very best b schools
if you check the class profile, the mean scores is around 670 -700 with an experience of 5 years... additionally since you are from India, the stakes are even higher because most Indians have a 700+ score with a similarly outstanding education work ex and extra curricular profile. you may stand a better chance if you manage a reco from your client/ senior exec. but with a 600 again.. its pretty difficult
so my personal opinion : and my opinion only as a well wisher is that you need to take another shot at gmat and attempt to score above 680 if you really want to get short listed for the interview.
- as for toefl.. most schools in the US require a toefl or pearson test. both take about 15 - 30 days to give you a score.
- as for scores, the schools will refer to the highest score; provided you have reported the higher score to that school
